Smoked Old Fashioned

A smoky take on a classic cocktail.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz bourbon
  • 2 Orange Peels
  • 1 tsp fresh orange juice
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • 4 dashes Angostura bitters
  • 1 Large Ice cube
  • 1 cocktail cherry
  • 1 Smoking Gun smoker
  • 1 Tbsp hardwood wood chips ((hickory))

Instructions 

  • Mix together the tsp of orange juice and ½ tsp of sugar
  • 4 dashes of bitters until combined.
  • Add to your glass with the orange peels and cocktail cherry.
  • Add smoke to the glass
  • Cover with plastic wrap or a plate.
  • Smoke the garnishes and syrup for 90 seconds.
  • In a separate glass, pour the pour, add smoke, and cover.
  • Smoke the bourbon for 90 seconds.
  • Pour the bourbon and the garnishes syrup over the ice cube
  • Gently stir to chill.
  • Right prior to serving, smoke the entire cocktail for an additional 90 seconds.
