Ingredients
1poundof ground chicken, turkey, or beef
1 tablespoonsesame oil
2clovesgarlic
grated ginger to tasteabout a teaspoon
1/2cupsoy sauce or tamari
2 tablespoonsof honey or maple syrupor to taste for sweetness
8 leavesof washed iceberg lettue 1 piece of lettuce for each lettuce cup you want to make
seasame seeds or peanuts for garnish
green onoinsfor garnish
slice and steam any additional vegetables onions, broccoli, and bok choy are great choices!
Instructions
Add the sesame oil and minced garlic to a pan over medium heat
Add in your protein of choice, once slightly browned, add in the ginger, soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free), honey, or maple syrup.
Continue cooking until meat is done.
Place cooked meat in lettuce cups, garnish with sesame seeds or peanuts, and sliced green onion.
