The Perfect Smoked Salmon & Cream Cheese Breakfast Sandwiches
While these toppings are commonly seen atop a toasted bagel, this recipe substitutes the bagels with buttered & toasted ciabatta rolls.
Ingredients
4
soft ciabatta sandwich rolls
to make 4 sandwiches

Tbsp
softened butter
8
oz
Philadelphia cream cheese
room temperature
8
oz
smoked salmon
1/3
cup capers
rinsed and drained
2
medium tomatoes
sliced thin
2
tbsp
fresh dill leaves
½
small red onion
sliced thin
2
tbsp
lime juice
Small pinch of salt
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400F.
Combine red onions with lime juice and a small sprinkle of salt
Allow to sit for 5 minutes.
Cut the ciabatta rolls in half and butter each side.
Bake until the rolls are golden in color and gently crispy on the exterior.
Remove from oven.
Spread cream cheese on the hot ciabatta, followed by smoked salmon, capers, tomatoes, dill, and red onion.
Serve sandwiches when the bread is still warm.
Serve open-faced or closed.
