Sangria is an effervescent Spanish wine that can be made with red or white wine, but it’s really best with red as the flavor of the fruit and liqueur really comes through better in the flavor profile. The recipe will make about 4 servings, or you can double it for more! This is the perfect entertaining cocktail!
Ingredients
1medium applechopped into small pieces
1orangethinly sliced
1750 mlbottle of red winecabernet sauvignon, merlot, or pinot noir
1cuporange juice
1/2cupbrandy
2/4cupstriple sec liqueur
2tablespoonsof brown or white sugar
ice
Instructions
In a pitcher, stir together red wine, brandy, triple sec, orange juice, and sugar.
Once combined, add the chopped apple, and sliced orange.
Add a generous amount of ice, stir.
Fill serving glasses with ice, and pour sangria.
Garnish with orange slices or oranges on a stick if desired.
